About

Guangzhou Tower (Canton Tower)
The Guangzhou Tower, affectionately known as the "Canton Tower," is one of the most iconic landmarks of Guangzhou. Standing at 600 meters tall, it was the tallest structure in China upon its completion in 2010. Designed with a sleek, twisted shape that resembles a slender waist, it is often called the "Sky Waist" by locals. The tower serves as a multifunctional structure, housing observation decks, restaurants, shopping areas, and even a cinema.
Chen Clan Ancestral Hall (Chen Clan Academy)
The Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, also known as the Chen Clan Academy, is a masterpiece of traditional Lingnan architecture and a testament to Guangzhou's rich cultural heritage. Built in 1894 during the Qing Dynasty, it served as an ancestral temple and an academy for the Chen family. Today, it houses the Guangdong Folk Art Museum.
The hall is renowned for its exquisite decorative arts, including intricate wood carvings, stone sculptures, brick carvings, and ceramic figurines. Each detail tells a story from Chinese mythology, history, or daily life.
The symmetrical layout, elegant courtyards, and graceful rooftops adorned with colorful pottery figures showcase the ingenuity of ancient Chinese craftsmen.
